Project:

The Municipal Public Library is an integral part of a spa house (Polish: Dom Zdrojowy) erected in the centre of the town in 1935-1936.

What we did:

We were asked to make alterations to the spa house premises, and this included installing a lift for the library. The scope of the work covered:

• building a shaft for a passenger lift that we also delivered and installed,
• building a reinforced concrete ceiling for the second storey of a hall that was once used as a cinema,
• replacing the roof cladding,
• carrying out a complete overhaul of the bathrooms,
• replacing wooden floors,
• delivering and installing an audiovisual system,
• delivering and installing stage curtains, including an electric curtain system
